Explore Mamula, “haunted” fortress

Your adventurous spirit won’t let you go until you explore inside of the walls and an amazing history of this special fortress to the fullest. Fortress Mamula used to be a prison in WW1 and WW2, it was taken over by Italian fascist Benito Mussolini at some point, who converted the island into the concentration camp known for torture and cruelty to prisoners.

It’s also known for it’s unique and interesting interior, round main hall with big stone stairs following the round walls, a lot of tangled passages.
